Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings into clear, accurate, and grammatically correct text documents.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and formatting consistency.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas and deadlines.
- Utilize industry-standard transcription software and file management systems.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding complex cases or technical issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary transcription training is a plus.
- Proven experience in medical or legal transcription (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
- Exceptional typing speed (minimum 60-80 WPM).
- Strong command of the English language, grammar, and spelling.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with high self-discipline.
