Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical/legal audio recordings into formatted documents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
- Utilize specialized transcription software and quality control protocols
- Manage turnaround times while maintaining 99%+ accuracy
- Collaborate with editors and proofreaders to resolve discrepancies
- Adapt to diverse accents and specialized terminology (medical/legal)
- Maintain organized digital records and client-specific formatting guidelines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proven typing speed of 85+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Familiarity with medical/legal terminology and documentation standards
- Proficiency in ExpressScribe, Dragon, or equivalent transcription software
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional time management skills
