Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and convert them into accurate written text using transcription software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and factual accuracy.
- Adhere to strict formatting guidelines and client-specific style guides.
- Manage file uploads and downloads securely within the company’s portal.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding sensitive medical and legal information.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Proven experience in transcription, medical transcription, or legal transcription is preferred.
- Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar and vocabulary.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and transcription foot pedals.
