Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into clear, accurate, and grammatically correct text documents.
- Format transcripts according to specific client guidelines, including speaker identification and time stamps.
- Proofread and edit transcribed content to ensure zero errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Manage daily transcription quotas and meet strict deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Utilize specialized transcription software and hardware to ensure optimal audio clarity and typing efficiency.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards regarding sensitive client information.
- Communicate effectively with team leads to resolve ambiguous audio segments or formatting issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or certification in medical/legal transcription is a plus.
- Minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy (95%+).
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home workspace.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with transcription-specific software (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon NaturallySpeaking).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
