Job Overview:
As a Remote Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for converting audio recordings into accurate text documents. You will work on a variety of medical, legal, and general transcription projects, ensuring all content is formatted correctly and free of errors.
Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe them into written text using specialized transcription software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and factual accuracy.
- Follow strict formatting guidelines and adhere to client-specific requirements.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas and deadlines consistently.
- Manage audio files and organize completed transcripts in the company database.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding difficult audio files or urgent projects.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all sensitive client information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
- Proven experience in transcription (medical, legal, or general) with a typing speed of 50+ WPM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
