Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio recordings across diverse industries (legal, medical, corporate)
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, clarity, and formatting consistency
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining 98.5% accuracy rate
- Utilize specialized transcription software and AI-assisted tools
- Collaborate with editorial team to resolve complex terminology challenges
- Maintain organized digital filing system for completed transcripts
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proven typing speed of 85+ WPM with 99% accuracy
- Familiarity with medical/legal terminology (certification preferred)
- Proficiency in Express Scribe, Dragon, or equivalent software
- Exceptional command of American English grammar and punctuation
- Self-discipline and ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
- Seattle residency preferred (for timezone alignment)
