Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into text with high accuracy and minimal errors.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure correct grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
- Adhere to specific client style guides and terminology requirements.
- Manage file uploads and downloads securely within our transcription platform.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas while maintaining quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team regarding any discrepancies.
- Stay updated on transcription trends and software updates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Excellent listening skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 50 WPM).
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and spelling.
- Access to a high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Reliable computer and headphones (noise-canceling preferred).
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check.
