Responsibilities
- Design and implement machine learning models to solve complex business challenges for Chicago-based financial services clients
- Analyze large datasets using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams through virtual stand-ups and Chicago-focused sprint planning
- Translate technical findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Mentor junior data scientists through virtual and Chicago-based knowledge-sharing sessions
- Develop data pipelines and optimize data processing workflows
Qualifications
- 5+ years of data science experience with portfolio demonstrating impactful ML solutions
- Expertise in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn) and SQL with database optimization
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization technologies
- Strong statistical modeling background with A/B testing expertise
- Proven ability to present complex data to executive stakeholders
- Preference for candidates with Chicago market knowledge or financial services experience
- BS/MS in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
