Responsibilities
- Design and implement AWS/GCP infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Lead CI/CD pipeline automation with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
- Optimize Kubernetes clusters for high availability and auto-scaling
- Implement robust monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana) and logging (ELK Stack) systems
- Drive security compliance through DevSecOps practices and IaC scanning
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer code reviews
- Collaborate with product teams to define infrastructure SLAs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps
- Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or AWS/Solutions Architect
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi)
- Understanding of CI/CD best practices and pipeline optimization
- Strong communication skills with ability to document complex systems
- Must reside in or have strong ties to Houston metropolitan area
