As a thought leader in our Future Horizons division, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, research labs, and global partners to identify paradigm shifts before they mainstream. Your insights will directly influence product development, corporate strategy, and our patent portfolio while mentoring a team of emerging futurists.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Strategic Foresight Framework using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead cross-functional workshops to synthesize insights from AI, quantum computing, and climate tech domains
- Produce quarterly foresight reports with actionable recommendations for executive leadership
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation hubs for early trend detection
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight knowledge base
- Represent Nexus at global futurist conferences and industry symposiums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies and horizon scanning tools
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (AGI, synthetic biology, quantum computing)
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future strategy implementations
