Based in our San Francisco headquarters, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D teams, and global partners to develop actionable innovation frameworks. This role combines strategic analysis with creative problem-solving to position FutureWorks as an industry leader in the rapidly evolving 2026 market.
Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their commercial implications for 2026
- Develop scenario-based strategic plans for market disruption and competitive positioning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future-facing solutions
- Present visionary insights to executive stakeholders and board members
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Design and implement innovation KPIs for long-term strategic alignment
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate an organization-wide culture of foresight
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futuristics, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategy consulting, R&D, or corporate innovation roles
- Proven track record of translating foresight into market-ready initiatives
- Expertise in horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal impacts
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive-level experience
- Published thought leadership in innovation or futurism publications
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and navigate complex stakeholder landscapes
