Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate real-time chat conversations across multiple platforms including Discord, Twitch, and proprietary community forums
- Enforce community guidelines with precision while maintaining positive brand voice and user engagement
- Escalate complex issues to senior moderators and legal teams with detailed documentation
- Train junior moderators on best practices and platform-specific protocols
- Analyze chat patterns to identify emerging trends and potential risks
- Collaborate with product teams to improve moderation tools and workflows
- Generate weekly reports on moderation metrics and community health
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional chat moderation experience in high-traffic platforms
- Deep understanding of digital platform policies (TOS, Community Guidelines)
- Exceptional written communication skills with ability to maintain neutral tone in sensitive situations
- Proficiency in moderation tools (e.g., Discord MEE6, Nightbot, custom dashboards)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across distributed teams
- Demonstrated crisis management experience in online communities
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Psychology, or related field preferred
- Fluent in English with additional language skills a strong plus
