Responsibilities
- Architect and implement microservices using AWS/GCP and Kubernetes
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical reviews
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines for 99.9% uptime and <1s deployments
- Lead agile ceremonies while maintaining Jira/Confluence documentation
- Conduct A/B tests on user-facing features using PostHog
- Drive DevOps initiatives including Terraform infrastructure-as-code
- Present quarterly tech talks at our Cleveland Innovation Meetups
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in production-level Python/Java/Go development
- Expertise in distributed systems and event-driven architectures
- Strong AWS/GCP certification (Solutions Architect preferred)
- Proven track record of mentoring 3+ engineers
- Portfolio demonstrating open-source contributions or personal projects
- Experience with GraphQL and gRPC protocols
- Ability to collaborate asynchronously across time zones
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
