Key Responsibilities
- Execute nightly software deployments and configuration updates for production and staging environments.
- Monitor system health, logs, and alerts overnight to proactively resolve critical issues.
- Collaborate with the Day Shift engineering team via async documentation and scheduled stand-ups.
- Optimize database performance and conduct routine backups during low-traffic windows.
- Investigate and troubleshoot software bugs reported by users during the evening hours.
- Maintain and update technical documentation for all night shift processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Strong proficiency in at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively during the night shift.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in debugging complex systems.
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident eligible for remote work.
