Responsibilities
- Lead Complex IT Initiatives: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects, from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring alignment with the LA 2026 vision.
- Infrastructure Strategy: Manage the planning and implementation of large-scale IT infrastructure, including broadcast systems, venue connectivity, and data centers.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams and external vendors, negotiating contracts and managing deliverables.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential technical risks early and develop proactive mitigation strategies to ensure the Games run without interruption.
- Legacy Planning: Design technology solutions that leave a lasting positive impact on the Los Angeles community post-2026.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management within the IT or technology sector, preferably in large-scale events or government projects.
- Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2 certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of ITIL practices, network architecture, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading diverse teams and managing high-pressure environments.
- Location: Must be willing to relocate to or currently reside in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
