- Develop strategic frameworks for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Produce scenario-planning models for market disruption and competitive landscape evolution
- Partner with R&D to align innovation pipelines with long-term vision
- Present insights to stakeholders through compelling executive briefings and visualizations
- Establish cross-functional futures councils across departments
- Author annual 'Future State' whitepapers for industry leadership
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futures research
- Proven track record in scenario planning and trend forecasting
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, IoT, blockchain) and societal implications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Management, or related field
- Exceptional data synthesis and storytelling abilities
- Experience with horizon scanning methodologies (Delphi, weak signal analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating futures research impact on business strategy
- Certification in Foresight or Strategic Foresight preferred
