Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud-native microservices using AWS/GCP
- Lead code reviews and architectural discussions for 15+ engineering teams
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical workshops
- Optimize system performance, reducing latency by 40%+ in production
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate requirements into technical specs
- Automate CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and Kubernetes
- Contribute to open-source projects and represent the company at tech conferences
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in backend development with Python/Java/Go
- Expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and containerization
- Proven track record of leading projects with 500K+ daily active users
- Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and infrastructure-as-code
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Experience mentoring teams of 5+ engineers
- Published contributions to major open-source projects (GitHub profile required)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with data-driven approach to debugging
