Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms targeting 2026 industry milestones
- Lead 8-person R&D team in quantum error correction and qubit stability research
- Collaborate with MIT and Caltech on hybrid quantum-classical frameworks
- Develop patent-pending quantum encryption protocols for financial services
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
- Manage $2M annual research budget with quarterly stakeholder reviews
- Author whitepapers positioning Nexus Labs in the 2026 quantum ecosystem
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum supremacy
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and NISQ-era applications
- Track record of securing DARPA or NSF quantum grants
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum control systems
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubits
