Responsibilities
- Analyze macroeconomic trends, technological convergence points, and socio-cultural shifts through 2026-2035 horizon scanning
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for emerging domains (quantum computing, biotech convergence, climate adaptation)
- Partner with product teams to integrate foresight into innovation roadmaps and R&D priorities
- Author thought leadership reports and executive briefings translating complex futures into strategic imperatives
- Lead cross-functional workshops on future-proofing organizational resilience and ethical innovation
- Monitor global policy/regulatory landscapes affecting emerging technology adoption
- Build and maintain a network of futurists, technologists, and academic researchers
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Economics, Technology Policy, or related field
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology trend analysis
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex futures into executive narratives
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or strategic frameworks
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFAP, APF preferred)
- Experience in cross-industry futures analysis (tech, healthcare, energy, manufacturing)
