Responsibilities
- Map 5-10 year technology and societal trends using horizon scanning and scenario planning
- Develop strategic frameworks for emerging domains (AI, quantum computing, biotech convergence)
- Partner with C-suite to integrate foresight into product roadmaps and innovation pipelines
- Lead cross-functional workshops to build organizational foresight capabilities
- Author annual 'State of the Future' reports with data-driven trend analysis
- Identify and nurture partnerships with academic labs and innovation ecosystems
- Advise on ethical implications of emerging technologies and responsible innovation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy, innovation, or futurist roles with Fortune 500/tech scale impact
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and strategic foresight methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills to translate complex futures into executive narratives
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology strategy (e.g., HBR, MIT Tech Review)
- Experience building and scaling innovation programs in large organizations
- MSc/PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent technical discipline
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ multi-year strategic foresight projects
