We are looking for a dedicated and resourceful Remote Part-Time IT Specialist to join our dynamic team in New York. As a key member of our support team, you will troubleshoot technical issues, manage software configurations, and serve as a bridge between our clients and our technical infrastructure. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while being anchored in the vibrant tech landscape of New York City.
Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity problems and network configurations.
- Manage and deploy company-issued equipment (laptops, monitors, headsets) to remote staff.
- Ensure all remote workstations comply with security policies and software standards.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and user interactions in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the team to optimize remote workflows and user experience.
- Conduct virtual training sessions for clients on new software or security protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Information Technology preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technical customer service.
- Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and common office productivity software.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, VPNs, and remote access tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Must be available for a part-time schedule with occasional overlapping hours with the NY office.
