- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into written text with a focus on high accuracy and speed.
- Format transcripts according to specific client guidelines and industry standards (legal/medical formatting).
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proper terminology.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Utilize transcription software and tools effectively to manage workflow.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive client data and recordings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as a transcriptionist or in a related administrative role.
- Exceptional typing speed (minimum 45-50 WPM).
- Strong command of the English language, grammar, and punctuation.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively without supervision.
