Responsibilities
- Convert Audio to Text: Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into accurate, formatted text documents verbatim.
- Quality Assurance: Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and medical accuracy to ensure 100% client satisfaction.
- Formatting Compliance: Adhere strictly to client-specific formatting, style guide, and terminologies for every document.
- Deadline Management: Meet strict daily and weekly productivity and turnaround time (TAT) goals without compromising quality.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard transcription software and tools efficiently to streamline workflows.
- Communication: Promptly communicate with healthcare providers regarding ambiguous audio or specific medical instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of a transcription course or certification is preferred.
- Typing Speed: Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM with a focus on accuracy and low error rates.
- Medical Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) and web-based platforms.
- Experience: Previous experience in medical transcription (acute care, hospital, or clinic setting) is highly desirable.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain a consistent work schedule.
