Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze emerging technologies with transformative potential by 2026 (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biotech convergence)
- Develop strategic roadmaps for technology integration across enterprise operations and product development
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions in simulated future environments
- Evaluate regulatory and ethical implications of breakthrough technologies for compliance frameworks
- Partner with venture capital teams to scout and acquire disruptive startups in future-tech domains
- Present strategic forecasts to C-suite stakeholders using data-driven scenario modeling
- Mentor junior strategists in future-thinking methodologies and technological forecasting
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning or emerging technology roles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proven track record in launching at least two technology products with 3+ year market impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI ethics, quantum algorithms, synthetic biology)
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Technology Foresight (e.g., from WFS or APF)
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks and horizon scanning methodologies
- Published thought leadership on technological disruption (white papers, patents, or keynotes)
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python, R, or similar) for data modeling
