You'll collaborate with quantum computing teams, AI ethics councils, and biotech pioneers to shape our 5-year innovation horizon.
Our Austin hub offers unparalleled resources including a quantum lab, AI sandbox, and biotech incubator. This position reports directly to the Chief Innovation Officer and requires 30% travel to our global innovation centers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps for 2026-2030 horizon
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with quantum/AI/biotech teams
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning for emerging tech disruptions
- Prototype and validate next-gen solutions in our innovation labs
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $2M annual innovation budget and vendor partnerships
- Drive ethical technology frameworks and sustainability initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Expertise in emerging tech: quantum computing, AGI, or synthetic biology
- Proven track record of launching innovative products/services
- Advanced degree in STEM field or MBA with tech specialization
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
- Excellent presentation skills and executive communication
- Published thought leadership in tech foresight publications
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management preferred
