Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum AI, neuromorphic computing, Web4 infrastructure)
- Lead cross-functional teams of PhD researchers, engineers, and product strategists
- Identify and evaluate disruptive startups for acquisition/partnership opportunities
- Present technology visions to C-suite executives and board members
- Secure $50M+ annual R&D funding through compelling business cases
- Author thought leadership pieces in Nature/Science journals and industry conferences
- Maintain strategic relationships with government agencies (DARPA, NSF) and academic institutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/blockchain)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neural-symbolic AI, or decentralized governance systems
- Experience securing federal grants and managing >$20M R&D budgets
- Published research in top-tier journals or conferences (NeurIPS, QIP, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Portfolio of successfully launched technologies with >$100M market impact
- Active security clearance preferred
