Responsibilities
- Develop 3-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping emerging technologies (quantum, AR/VR, bioinformatics)
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for future tech domains
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through strategic partnerships and grant applications
- Present innovation frameworks to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption and ROI measurement
- Mentor junior researchers in emerging technology methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 scale
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains: quantum computing, AI ethics, or decentralized systems
- Published research in top-tier journals/conferences (NeurIPS, Nature, etc.)
- Experience securing government/venture funding for experimental projects
- Certification in Technology Futures Planning (e.g., from IEEE or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
