Responsibilities
- Develop strategic frameworks for emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AR/VR convergence)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive innovations with 2026 commercialization potential
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives bridging academic research and industrial applications
- Produce technology roadmaps with 3-5 year implementation timelines
- Advise C-suite on future-proofing infrastructure and talent acquisition strategies
- Establish partnerships with leading research institutions and tech incubators
- Analyze geopolitical and regulatory impacts on technology adoption pathways
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Futurism (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in technology strategy or innovation consulting
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's innovation ecosystem
- Published thought leadership on future technology trends
- Exceptional communication skills for executive and technical audiences
