Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives for 2026-era tech stack including quantum neural networks and haptic interfaces
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with emerging market trends and regulatory landscapes
- Partner with VPs of Engineering to prototype and validate futuristic concepts in our Innovation Labs
- Represent Horizon at global tech summits (Davos, CES, Web Summit) setting industry standards
- Secure $15M+ in R&D funding through strategic partnerships with DARPA and NASA
- Mentor a team of 12 futurists and PhD researchers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy with proven impact in emerging technologies (AI, quantum, AR/VR)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering from Tier 1 institution
- Published author in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Track record of scaling innovations from lab to market (3+ successful exits)
- Deep understanding of ethical AI frameworks and responsible innovation principles
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum computing architectures
- Top-secret clearance or ability to obtain
