Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead research on emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence)
- Partner with product teams to integrate future innovations into development pipelines
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption and innovation ROI
- Manage relationships with academic institutions and R&D consortia
- Author thought leadership pieces on future technology implications
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, product development, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in anticipating industry disruptions
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business; PhD preferred
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Global perspective on technology adoption across industries
