Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify and analyze emerging technologies, socioeconomic shifts, and disruptive business models
- Develop long-term strategic frameworks spanning 5-10 years with actionable roadmaps for 2026+ execution
- Champion innovation through 'future-back' scenario planning and stress-testing against black swan events
- Partner with R&D to translate foresight into patentable innovations and commercial opportunities
- Deliver executive briefings and thought leadership to board members and key stakeholders
- Establish global networks with futurists, academic institutions, and industry pioneers
- Quantify future ROI through predictive modeling and probabilistic scenario analysis
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Innovation, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology forecasting
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial outcomes or policy impact
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis, weak signal detection)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling ability to communicate complex futures to diverse audiences
- Experience with futures simulation tools and probabilistic modeling frameworks
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (preferred)
