As a Medical Transcriptionist with us, you will play a critical role in the healthcare ecosystem, ensuring that medical records are accurate, confidential, and available for physicians and patients. We value accuracy, speed, and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Convert Audio to Text: Listen to audio recordings of physician visits, surgeries, and diagnostic exams, and transcribe them into accurate medical documents.
- Medical Terminology: Utilize your knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology to ensure precise documentation of patient history, diagnoses, and treatments.
- Quality Assurance: Proofread and edit transcribed documents for grammar, punctuation, and medical accuracy before final submission.
- Confidentiality: Strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies to maintain the highest level of patient data privacy and security.
- Technical Proficiency: Use specialized transcription software and medical reference tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Turnaround Time: Meet strict daily and weekly deadlines for various healthcare facilities and specialists.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Medical Transcription or Health Information Management is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional medical transcription experience required. Prior experience in a hospital or clinic setting is a plus.
- Skills: Exceptional typing speed (minimum 60 WPM) with high accuracy (98%+). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and medical dictation software.
- Knowledge: Strong command of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent listening skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Certification: Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) or Registered Medical Transcriptionist (RMT) designation is highly desirable.
