Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into written text with high accuracy and speed.
- Format transcripts according to specific client guidelines and style sheets.
- Proofread and edit transcriptions to ensure correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Research and verify proper names, medical terms, and industry-specific jargon.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas while maintaining quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with the team regarding technical issues or project updates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous transcription experience is a strong plus.
- Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60 WPM).
- Excellent command of the English language and grammar.
- Reliable home office setup with high-speed internet and noise-canceling headphones.
- Ability to pass a grammar and listening comprehension test.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
