Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing scalable quantum algorithms for cryptography, AI, and materials science
- Architect quantum hardware-software integration frameworks to optimize qubit stability and error correction
- Collaborate with global research institutions on cutting-edge quantum protocols and standards
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual R&D budgets for experimental quantum systems
- Translate theoretical quantum mechanics into patentable commercial applications
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, VQE variants)
- Deep knowledge of superconducting qubit architectures and cryogenic systems
- Track record of securing federal grants (NSF, DARPA) or venture funding
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience leading teams of 10+ researchers in high-stakes R&D environments
