Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Develop novel quantum algorithms optimized for NISQ-era hardware
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum-ML integration projects
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Secure and manage $2M+ in government/industry research grants
- mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and compilation techniques
- Proficiency with Python/C++ and high-performance computing frameworks
- Demonstrated grant-writing success for quantum research projects
- Strong background in quantum information theory and quantum many-body systems
