Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives targeting 2026 deployment milestones
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum error correction
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum annealing platforms
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience leading quantum computing hardware-software integration projects
