Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-correction protocols for quantum processors
- Lead experimental quantum simulations using IBM Q, Rigetti, and D-Wave platforms
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction codes
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent impact journals
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Track record of securing government research grants
