Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using trapped-ion and superconducting qubits
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in top quantum computing journals
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum engineering interns
- Partner with quantum hardware teams to co-design next-generation processors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Experience with quantum circuit optimization and compilation
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure quantum research funding (NSF, DOE, or industry grants)
