Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate real-time chat conversations across multiple platforms (Discord, Slack, Twitch)
- Enforce community guidelines with fairness and cultural sensitivity
- Identify and escalate inappropriate content, harassment, or policy violations
- Document moderation actions and compile weekly performance reports
- Collaborate with product teams to improve moderation tools and workflows
- Train new moderators on platform-specific protocols and crisis management
- Analyze chat trends to proactively address emerging issues
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in content moderation or community management
- Exceptional written communication skills and cultural awareness
- Proficiency with moderation tools (Discord, Slack, ModTools)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
- Experience handling high-volume chat environments (10k+ messages/day)
- Knowledge of digital platform policies (TOS, Community Guidelines)
- US work authorization and reliable high-speed internet
