Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate real-time chat platforms (Discord, Slack, Twitch) to ensure community guidelines compliance
- Resolve user disputes and conflicts with diplomatic, solutions-oriented communication
- Document moderation actions using proprietary CRM systems for audit purposes
- Collaborate with content teams to develop community engagement strategies
- Identify and report security threats, harassment, or policy violations
- Train new moderators on platform-specific protocols and best practices
- Analyze chat trends to provide actionable insights for product improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional moderation experience in high-traffic platforms (50K+ users)
- Exceptional written communication skills with flawless grammar
- Proven ability to de-escalate conflicts under pressure
- Familiarity with moderation tools (Discord, Nightbot, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills for pattern recognition and trend analysis
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- US citizenship and NC residency required for compliance
- Proficiency in conflict resolution frameworks (de-escalation training a plus)
