Role Overview:
As a Remote Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large data sets. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify trends, optimize business processes, and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Data Cleaning & Preparation: Gather data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency through rigorous cleaning and preprocessing.
- Advanced Analytics: Perform complex statistical analyses and modeling to uncover insights that drive strategic business decisions.
- Visualization & Reporting: Design and maintain interactive dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Database Management: Query databases using SQL to extract specific datasets and support ad-hoc reporting needs.
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps in current reporting workflows and propose automated solutions to increase efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product managers and engineering teams to define data requirements and success metrics.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within the finance, healthcare, or technology sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database querying and experience with Python or R for data manipulation.
- Visualization Tools: Strong working knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI software.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise business recommendations.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
