Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictation from Long Beach-based physicians and specialists
- Ensure 100% adherence to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols
- Format transcriptions according to client specifications and industry standards
- Utilize digital transcription platforms and specialized medical software
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining exceptional quality standards
- Collaborate with quality assurance team for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical transcription experience
- Proficiency in medical terminology (CCHI, AHDI certification preferred)
- Typing speed of 85+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or NextGen)
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and noise-free home office
- Strong command of English grammar and punctuation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
