- Transcribe Medical Records: Accurately listen to and convert audio recordings of physician dictations into text documents, including clinical notes, operative reports, and discharge summaries.
- Quality Assurance: Proofread and edit transcribed documents to ensure grammatical correctness, proper medical terminology usage, and adherence to client formatting standards.
- Confidentiality Compliance: Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines and company policies to ensure the complete confidentiality of patient health information (PHI).
- Deadline Management: Prioritize incoming work queues and consistently meet daily and weekly productivity targets without compromising quality.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and transcription software efficiently to input and manage data.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on medical advancements and transcription best practices to enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Transcription program or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional medical transcription experience in a healthcare setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and specific transcription software (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking, EHR platforms).
- Language: Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and medical vocabulary.
- Skills: Typing speed of 65+ words per minute with high accuracy (98%+).
- Reliability: Self-motivated individual with a stable home internet connection and a quiet workspace.
