Responsibilities
- Convert audio recordings into accurate, verbatim medical documentation using industry-standard software.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and medical terminology accuracy.
- Manage multiple files and transcription tasks efficiently within strict daily deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding unclear audio or medical queries.
- Ensure the final output is formatted according to client-specific style guides.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate in Medical Transcription is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional medical transcription experience is required.
- Exceptional typing speed (60+ words per minute) with high accuracy.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and specialized transcription tools (e.g., Express Scribe).
