Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings of medical dictation and transcribe them into accurate, formatted text documents.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure high standards of grammar, punctuation, and medical accuracy.
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance standards and maintain the confidentiality of all patient information.
- Utilize transcription software and tools efficiently to meet daily production quotas.
- Communicate effectively with team leads regarding technical issues or transcription queries.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and healthcare coding updates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Medical Transcription preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional medical transcription experience.
- Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 45-50 WPM).
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific software (e.g., Express Scribe).
