Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings of medical consultations and accurately transcribe them into text.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and medical terminology accuracy.
- Adhere to specific formatting guidelines and style guides provided by the healthcare facility.
- Manage file uploads and downloads securely using our dedicated transcription software.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
- Communicate effectively with editors and quality assurance teams for clarification.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas with high accuracy rates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Medical Transcription or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical transcription, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Exceptional English grammar, spelling, and vocabulary skills.
- Proven ability to type accurately at a speed of 60+ WPM.
- Proficiency with transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon NaturallySpeaking) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
