- Listen to audio recordings of medical reports and transcribe them into text format with high accuracy and speed.
- Edit and proofread transcripts to correct punctuation, grammar, and spelling errors.
- Apply appropriate medical terminology, drug names, and anatomy to ensure clinical accuracy.
- Format documents according to client-specific templates and industry standards.
- Communicate with healthcare providers for clarification on ambiguous dictation.
- Adhere to all HIPAA compliance and data security protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional medical transcription experience.
- Proven typing speed of 65+ words per minute (WPM) with a high accuracy rate.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Proficient in using speech recognition software and transcription tools (e.g., DQS, Express Scribe).
- Must possess a quiet workspace and a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
- Strong command of the English language and grammar rules.
