- Listen to audio recordings of physician dictations and transcribe them into written medical reports with high accuracy.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology errors.
- Adhere to strict HIPAA privacy regulations and confidentiality agreements.
- Use Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and digital dictation software effectively.
- Format reports according to specific departmental templates and style guides.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify unclear dictations or instructions.
- Meet daily production quotas and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Medical Transcription or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional medical transcription experience.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Typing speed of at least 65 WPM with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and EMR platforms.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office setup.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
