Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into accurate, readable medical documents.
- Ensure accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation while adhering to medical terminology standards.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for errors and format documents according to client specifications.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas and deadlines.
- Utilize transcription software and electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certification in Medical Transcription preferred.
- Previous experience in medical transcription or healthcare documentation is required.
- Exceptional typing speed (65+ WPM) and accuracy.
- Strong command of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and medical transcription software.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office space.
