Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into clear, accurate, and grammatically correct medical reports.
- Format transcripts according to specific client and departmental style guidelines.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure 100% medical accuracy, syntax, and punctuation.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols.
- Flag and resolve ambiguous audio or medical terminology with providers to ensure complete documentation.
- Manage transcription workflow efficiently to meet daily production quotas.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Medical Transcription preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical transcription or healthcare documentation.
- Strong command of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Proven typing speed of 60+ WPM with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency in transcription software (e.g., Dragon, Express Scribe) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
